Back from his deployment, Makmur is trying not to believe in the safe and secure arms of his wife Sari as he hears from someone else that she just died. The blow is too severe to bear for a while, although it isn’t long before he starts sensing her presence which, at first, is a feeling of being watched that just won’t go away and then seeing her in the corner of his eye. Eventually, Sari’s ghost materializes, a somewhat sorrowful yet somehow peaceful presence. Makmur is beset by conflicting feelings of joy at her return and despondency over their situation.
